Dems inch closer to being majority party
As of Aug. 22, the county had 384,772 total registered voters, which included inactive and active voters. Of that amount, 169,700 were registered Democrats and 169,719 were registered Republicans, which left 45,353 registered with other parties or without affiliation.
That means that Delaware County Republican Party has an advantage of only 19 over Democrats in terms of total registered voters.
Check out more details about the voter registration figures here. Also, you can check out details about how the two party bosses are getting into a tiff over a poll already and it's not even Labor Day.
It will be interesting to see whether the voter registration figures translate into a win for the Dems. We'll find out Nov. 5.
