Meehan to chair subcommittee

U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan, R-7, of Upper Darby, will be chairman of the House Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies during his second term in Congress which begins in January, his spokeswoman confirmed.

Meehan, a former U.S. Attorney and Delaware County district attorney, is a member of the Homeland Security Committee and will be chairman of the House Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection and Security Technologies. He served as chairman of the House Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, another subcommittee of the Homeland Security Committee, during his first term in Congress.

In addition, Meehan will remain on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, according to his spokeswoman Maureen Keith. He will also serve on the House Ethics Committee in the 113th Congress, she said.
