State Rep. Greg Vitali, D-166, of Haverford, was endorsed by the Pennsylvania chapter of the Sierra Club in his run for re-election.

"I am pleased to accept this endorsement," said Vitali in a statement. "I have fought many environmental battles alongside the Sierra Club over the years and I am honored by their endorsement."

Vitali has served on the state House Environmental Resource and Energy Committee since he was first elected in 1993.

Vitali faces Republican Bill Toal, a Delaware County assistant district attorney from Haverford.
