House Dems to host hearing on climate change

The Pennsylvania House Democratic Policy Committee will host a hearing June 7 about climate change.

“The purpose of the hearing is to help restart the conversation about climate change,” said state Rep. Greg Vitali, D-166, of Haverford, in a prepared statement. “Climate change is the most important environmental issue facing the planet, but the conversation about it appeared to stop when the recession hit in 2008.”

The public hearing will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 7 at the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia. Public testimony is limited to written comments.
