Agency recognizes National Community Action Month
The Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc., a local nonprofit corporation, will
celebrate May as national Community Action Month.
“Our goal this
month is to highlight the real problems low-income people in Delaware County
are facing, especially during these challenging economic times,” said Edward Coleman, chief executive officer of Community Action Agency of Delaware
County, in a prepared statement.
“People come to (our
agency) desperate for help because they have experienced so many hardships and
have no place else to turn. We show them that they can change their lives and
we have a proven track record helping the most vulnerable people achieve
economic security.”
