GOP candidates tour another business

The Republican candidates for Delaware County Council discussed their support for small businesses and energy-saving measures at Pfaff Brothers Construction and Alternative Energy Solutions in Glenolden Wednesday afternoon.

The GOP candidates include incumbent Tom McGarrigle, a small business owner and former vice chairman of the Springfield Township Board of Commissioners, county Solicitor John McBlain, a former Aldan Borough councilman, and Colleen Morrone, a vice chairwoman of the Concord Township Board of Commissioners and chief mission officer for Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County.

The Republicans visited SAP in Newtown Square last week. They said they will eventually unveil an economic development plan.

The three Democratic candidates also said they support economic development and job creation. The three Democrats include Keith Collins of Ridley Park, Lansdowne Mayor Jayne Young and former Nether Providence Board of Commissioners president Lin Axamethy Floyd.

It would be interesting to hear more from the Democrats. Maybe they will have an event soon. What do you think?
